Ylakaki department


The Ylakii department was founded in 1989. by the efforts of teacher enthusiast Algimantas Matutis and former director of Ylakii high school Algimantas Krasauskas. From the beginning of the establishment until 2012. the department was headed by teacher Dzintra Šukienė, from 2012 to 2016. - Mr. teacher Estreja Eglė Odinienė, currently the methodical activities of the department are organized by teacher Juozas Daukšas.


The following subjects are taught in the Ylakii department: piano, accordion, trumpet, kanklei, ensemble singing and art.

May 16 The 8th show of artists of the Ylakii department defended their final works. This year, 8 students are graduating from the art program: Ema Jonauskaitė, Aušrinė Jonutytė, Gvidas Mikalauskas, Martyna Pakulytė, Erika Paulauskaitė, Vigailė Vaitkutė, Iveta Vaškytė and Austėja Žvinklytė. Supervisors of theses: method teacher Neringa Daukšienė and senior teacher Sonata Daukšienė. We thank the chairman of the commission, art teacher and methodologist Rimantas Eidėjas for the meaningful and interesting insights into the final theses.


2021 - 2022 mm achievements

Competition "Hear the most secret language of nature"

May 20 the results of the International children's drawing competition "Hear the most secret language of nature" have been announced. As many as 1446 creative works from 7 countries participated in it: China, Poland, Lithuania, India, Estonia, Slovenia and Ukraine. Among the many drawings, the work of EVELINA KLEPONYTĖ (teacher Sonata Daukšienė), a student of the Ylakii section of Skuados Art School, did not go unnoticed. The young artist became a laureate in her age group (7-10 years). The creative works of the competition winners will be exhibited in the green gallery of the Panevėžys Nature School.

Competition of creative works - exhibition "Feather"

May. 1st class of Ylakii section of Skuodas art school. students were preparing for the republican competition of students' creative works "Feather", in which they had to look at the symbol - the feather - in an original and creative way. GERDA MALUKAIĖ became the laureate, and JUSTAS STATKUS - the nominee.

The organizers of the contest are Šiauliai Gegužiai Pro-gymnasium, Lithuanian Charity and Support Fund "Baltasis Balandis", Šiauliai Literary Club "Verdenė".

April the fifteenth republican competition organized by the Kretinga District Salantai School of Art took place in the virtual space. Among the works selected for the virtual exhibition were also the drawings of the artists of the Ylakii section of Skuodas mm - GABIJA ŽUTAUTAITĖ, AUSTĖJA ŽVINKLYTĖ and EMOS JONAUSKAIĖ. EMOS JONAUSKAITĖ's creative work was awarded a nomination for creativity. Senior art teacher Sonata Daukšienė prepared the students for the competition.

Miniature competition-exhibition "Whose tail"

April The students of the Ylakii section of the Skuodas Art School participated in the fun Republican miniature competition-exhibition "Whose Tail" organized by the Šiauliai School of Arts.
